I i n to think about starting a website called 'is it usual?'

What the title said.
I am thinking can't this because what is 'normal'? Would 'is it usual?' not be a better name? And a better pre to your question?
Also many freaks may not use it as they know the subjects they post on here are not usual so posting them would be ridiculous. Where as asking if things are normal leaves anything acceptable because whether it is or not is a matter of opinion only.

Your idea is total shit. The creeps, weirdos, kooks, and perverts are the most interesting people in the world. By saying, "Normal", you are inviting them to celebrate their twisted minds. Who could as for anything more?

Well, you could ask for civility, tolerance, and respect. That's a lot more interesting than hating everybody who's different from you, just because of their skin color or gender or sexual orientation. That's the most boring thing in the world.

I agree with RandyRascal. I don't hate anybody. People of all races, genders, and sexual orientations are interesting if they are perverted, creepy, kooks, or lewd. Tolerance of all other uninteresting people is easy provided they silence themselves.

The cool thing is, if you create your own site, you don't even have to worry about all the morons coming over. If they do, you just delete their answers and ban them. Problem solved. This site would be much better if it had effective moderation, but it's so overrun by trolls, it may be a lost cause at this point. Everybody knows you don't come here for serious answers, you come here for racism, sexism, and bigotry.

(Cue all the idiots whining about free speech and censorship, either not knowing or not caring that the first amendment applies to government interference, not what happens on a privately owned website. If you own a website, you get to decide what is and isn't posted on it.)

I had a similar thought looking at a ton of posts which were really 'is it appropriate?' or 'does anyone else ever do this?' or 'I want to confess this' or 'I want to test out some complete fantasies'. Whatever the exact name people will push the boundaries and sometimes deliberately misinterpret them.

As has already been said, the phrase 'is it normal' is a great catch all for searches. When I was wondering about some kinds of behaviour, and the limits, I found this site and it has its faults but looking at other places... it could be modded more, but then it it becomes one person's opinion rather than 'normality'.

I think it's a great idea and I'd have loved it when younger although I couldn't have coped with some of the posts and that would have been just one of the possible problems.

The reason why "isitnormal" is successful and will be around awhile is because it is an established phrase that gets them a lot of hits from google searches.this domain name will never die even if the site does

Go ahead. Although, I feel as though "is it usual" as a phrase is far less used than "is it normal", you'll probably get less site traffic (since most people would google "is it normal to XYZ" instead of "is it usual to XYZ".
