I like him and he sits in front of me in history. I think he is very attractive and his voice makes me want to kiss him. Is it normal that I only know his name and "type"?
Yes. Sometimes it's easier to like someone if you don't know much about them, because your mind can fill in the gaps with whatever you want.
I don't know how many times on this site that I have wanted to write a comment and found that you've said the same thing more eloquently than I would ever hope to.
Thank you very much. I do what I can, even though sometimes it's more luck than judgement as to what parts of the things I say end up making sense. I've been working recently on writing in a way that makes more sense to read without using lots of words, and I'm glad that you've validated me.

Talk to him, get your hands on him, find out as much about him as you can. That way you'll learn more about what YOU like. If you do this social learning while you are young, you'll avoid many dead end relationships when you are older.
Haha yeah. And then you get to know them and wish you just kept admiring them from afar.
And by you I mean me. Lol. But yes it is very common liking people without knowing very much about them! A few of their traits happen to trigger an intense emotional response.
