I.i.n. to feel physical pain when separated?

My fiancee and I often have to be separated while I'm traveling. The problem is, even if we're apart only for two or five days, we feel physical pain. Neither of us can sleep, I get really bad migraines, and she says her body aches (kind of like cramps). Is this normal?

Aww, withdrawal symptoms! I don't know if that's normal, but it's kind of cute imo.

    • That's exactly what I thought - withdrawal symptoms. But does that mean that we don't love each other, but we are just addicted to each other?

I'm not completely sure about this.
I think it could be said that all feelings including loving feelings (from infatuation to genuine, deep love) come down to chemical reactions in the brain. I've heard that love sickness is therefore similar to withdrawal symptoms from a drug. I think it's unusual to get these symptoms during a temporary absence in a loving relationship, as in your case. Hopefully this will wear off after a while :)
