I honestly believe "reality" tv is fake in general.

I'm not just refering to one show or another show but all of them in general. My heavy girlfriend loves the show "Biggest Loser" and because I am a supportive boyfriend, I watch it with her. I find that it is really difficult not to just pick apart the show and point out how the show is pure cheese and lacks any realism that it proclaims to have.

For instance, and I really would like others to comment, the scale is clearly rigged. It claims online that the scale is fake but they are weighted beind the screen. If this is true, then how does it always come down to the last person. Same with the "Voting," It sure is nice to see the decisions come down to the last vote and not decided right away. I think it is rather lame that person A and person B can't stand each other but yet person B won't vote off person A because of some lame comment from person C. I though person B HATED person A and wanted her to just die. So, why is she voting for person C?

Whoever the show picks as the "Villian" tends to stay on until the midway point of the show. There is always a villain too. SOmeone has to be the bad person and play the game to screw over others and yet this seems okay to people. If someone screwed me over, I would love to vote them off the first chance I get instead of voting for whoever the "group" decides.

My biggest point though is how fake the scale is though. The weigh in's are a nice feature but it is rather lame how the more charismic people stay while the less popular ones go home week after week. There is also NO way they are gaining weight so it is clear that the lame show is playing with the weight adding and subtracting to vote certain ones off while unfairly saving others.

My absolute biggest point was the 'finale' for last season. There is no way in hell that Kathy won, she was still rather chunky while the top two others dropped the weight so far they actually looked rather decent. However, Biggest Loser absolutely had to show the older people that they could win it and therefore gave all the prizes to them instead of rewarding the kid who dropped far more than anyone else.

Does anyone agree with me that Reality TV in general is bullsh*t and neither real or even entertaining. I wanted to watch these shows for inspiration and to show me that I could do the impossible and it being completely fake kills the whole aspect of being A REALITY TV SHOW, does it not?
