I hear voices

Please help me.
I was at school the other day, and I heard a voice, as clear as someone talking to me. It said, Hello Pearl (Pearl is my middle name, which I never go by) I thought someone was playing a joke, so I ignored it.
then later that night I heard it again, the same voice, but this time it sounded more like a though, but not my own.
This has been going on for about two weeks now and I haven't told a single soul, for fear that they'll think me crazy. Because when you think of someone hearing voices you think crazy right? But thats the thing, the voice isn't trying to get me to do anything bad, he's just.. there. Sometimes kind to me, sometimes criticizing me or others, often very funny. I cant help talking to it.
Anyway, I don't know what to do, how do I tell my parents? Do I need to? And do I need to get help from a professional?

I would recommend telling your parents to start if u feel the need to. Bc as time goes by i think this may make u start to think you are crazy and its may drive u to doubt yourself I believe in stuff like this so i don't think you are.. There are people out there also that can help explain why this is happening to u from a spiritual way. Good luck hun

Is the voice coming from inside your head or outside?
There are maany different things that can cause both ..

I would definitely tell your parents and then you guys can discuss what to do next, could be a number of things, also I suggest you all see a mental health expert together, not saying you are crazy at all, I don’t think you are, just saying they will probably know what’s going on.

    This is how religions have started though, when schizophrenia wasn't known and the people hearing the voices thought they were angels or jinns. (or maybe the "prophets" actually knew the voices were in their head but decided to use that as a way to control people's gullibility)

If you are hallucinating, it is likely to only get worse with time. There is no shame in having mental illness, it is not your fault and it doesn't make you a bad person. YES talk to your parents and to a professional. You can live a completely normal life no matter the problem, just get help. :)

  Hi, uh, I know that not everything is about me, and I too thought that someone else must be called pearl, and it was just a coincidence, but that simply doesn't explain me hearing the same voice multiple times even when I was alone.
