Showering is relaxing and cleansing. It shouldn't feel like a chore, it's a privilege. Not everyone has the means to shower daily, and you're doing it on purpose? That's extremely odd.

We grow used to smells that are around us constantly very quickly. Therefore, you most likely smell awful but don't realize it. Trust me - if people don't say anything, they're trying to be nice. Especially the whole pissing your pants thing, that's just horrid. Take a fucking shower. Seriously. Even apes jump in the water, the earliest form of man took baths, and everyone around you does SOMETHING to clean themselves.

Sorry but ewwww that's disgusting everyone should have at 2 baths/showers/washes a day. I have 2 baths a day, there's no excuse not to. A pack of 4 soaps can be bought for about a pound. and do not get me started on not changing your underwear, ok it's your body and your choice but believe me if you haven't showered in a month then you will be smelling and other people will be able to smell it too x

I knew a kid a while back who didn't like to shower, I couldn't understand it, it was like a chore to him. He was going to a wedding one day, his mom told him to shower. Well what he did was just run cold water from the bathroom sink over his hair. It looked like shit all clumpy and greasy, and he was going to a wedding!! I asked him why he didn't shower and he said he didn't have time, yet he was over at my house talking to me for no reason...so he had time. It was fucking nasty. And he stunk. And had fleas. Yes, a human being with fleas. Fucking nasty.

I guess it's okay if you still have loads of friends and people don't seem to be avoiding you.
But if that's happening, you know why. If it seems like people want to cut short conversations with you, that might also be a factor.

And I agree with Burnababy27, showering should be relaxing and cleansing, and a time when you can think and be alone. I personally really enjoy it. Perhaps you should think about it as less of a chore, instead of "well, I should shower more BECAUSE I should." Why would you like to be dirty anyway?

I've been around people who were lacking in the showering department and can say with a certainty that you've grown used to your own scent and don't "not smell".

Bro I completely understand you. This may sound disgusting and horrible to the majority of society, but I will be happy to be the bridge between those people and understanding :).

The fact of the matter is, no matter how much you sweat or how long you dont bathe, you should never smell like the nasty B.O. smell that everyone is so eager to chase away. If you roll around in the dirt and get physically dirty, then you will most certainly smell "dirty", but that means, yes, you literally smell like dirt, which isnt an offensive odor.

You might be asking at this point, why then does everyone seem to get B.O. without daily washing? Why do I smell bad when I sweat and I need to wash afterwards?

The answer is simple. Toxins. The skin is the body's largest organ and it plays an extremely important role in detoxification of your body. In fact, it is one of your body's best options for detoxifying itself during times that its overclocked.

The reason everyone in society has B.O. (and consequently the reason everyone in society must wash every day just to not smell offensive) is because of the massive amount of toxins we take in everyday. Toothpaste, hair products, body wash, tap water, artificial and highly processed foods, dyes, smoke, pharmaceutical drugs, polluted air, and the list goes on. Just about everything we allow our body to absorb has a lot of toxins present if you're eating/drinking what most of society is eating/drinking and using the products most of society is using.

Our body is naturally attempting to flush out all of those toxins that have settled plus all the extra ones you're taking in whenever you're awake, and so a lot of them get pushed through your skin and into your sweat, thus you get the nasty smell. Were society to begin eating food with little to no toxins and paying closer attention to what sort of things they put on their skin, the offensive B.O. we all know and hate would become non-existent. We would simply smell like our natural scent.

Our natural scent isnt offensive, no matter how strong it gets. Just like when you hug your dog and you can smell that it smells like a dog. It's not a good smell, its not a bad smell, it just smells like a dog. The same goes for us, when we havent showered in a long time, we should smell like humans, not gross, not awesome, but just like humans.

It's been over a month since I've showered as well and I've had little to no B.O. as I've been working on minimizing my toxin intake as best I can, and its working! Most of my toxins get flushed through the internal systems into the urine, feces, and hair, so I dont get any offensive odors. I live with 8 other people besides myself and have yet to have anyone mention or complain about B.O. In fact, I even have asked them if I have B.O. from time to time and I've never gotten an affirmative response.

I have been getting more smelly, but not the gross body odor omg-stay-away-that-guy-is-really-smelly kind, but the kind where my natural scent starts to come out more and I can smell myself. It's great to live naturally. Personally, I love the way I smell with my natural scent and so does my girl. In fact on an interesting side note, from a scientific standpoint, the only thing that makes us fall in love is another persons' natural scent having a reaction in our brain.

Clearly, OP you like your own natural scent too and thats great! I think its important to love all aspects of yourself so that everyone can love those aspects too, from scent, to personality, to looks, and on.

Part of the reason OP doesnt experience the nasty body odor is your fast metabolism, which is also to blame for your BMI (how skinny you are). Because your metabolism is moving faster, its able to clear the toxins you intake that much quicker than how fast you normally take them in. A person with a slow metabolism would have to make sure that they took in toxins that much slower so that their body didnt get overclocked with too many. Hence the reason people with more body fat tend to be more prone to having B.O. Fat is also your body's way of creating more skin surface area, so that you can get more toxins out at once.

All in all, you are simply living more naturally than the rest of society. So is it normal for society? No. Is it normal for a human living naturally? Absolutely.

P.S. To further clarify, I love the natural scent from my genitals as well. Your genitals often carry a slightly different scent than the rest of your body. OP isnt saying he likes the smell of old urine (as some of you seem to believe) as OP certainly doesnt urinate on himself. He is referring to his natural genital scent and trying to describe it. My own scent, I wouldnt describe it using ammonia, but regardless I do like the scent. Cheers everyone! Dont be scared of natural living haha.

I don't know how you can know for a fact that you don't smell bad, often your own sense of smell will adjust accordingly and you won't be able to smell any scent that lingers around you for a longer period of time. Meaning you can't tell if you smell or not. I have a problem with foot odor if I don't apply powder when I wear flats without socks, it's not noticeable until I take the flats off in the room I'm in, stay out of that room for a long period of time and walk back in later. When I'm constantly exposed to the offensive smell, I cannot tell how bad it is.
