I have violent dreams

Ever since I saw my father hit my sister two years ago I have really violent dreams. Last night I dreamed I broke a guys jaw by pulling it apart. Sometimes I am the one getting hurt and in the next dream I am in hospital.Most of the time though I am the one fighting. I don't know if its because of what I saw but I get angry very easily, especially with my boyfriend. I even dream about hurting him and my father and even though everything is fine now the dreams don't stop. Is this normal?

    I think it's normal. They seem to have come from some emotional trauma you've suffered. Dreams come from the subconscious and sometimes the conscious. They have deeper meaning than most realize.

    I have violent dreams too, but I think it helps me getting my everyday frustration out since I never fight with anyone (usually). Dreams are weird sometimes...
