Even though 17 y/o isn't yet "legal" age of adult... it is considered being a young adult. (meaning closer to adult than a child). Since he will be 18 soon... he can do whatever he feels like doing - now, or after his 18th bday.

If you're going to say "don't do it", then come up with a better reason than the inaccurate one you gave. DUMBASS.

I am so confused. What the heck.

What age range is a young adult? How can someone be a young adult without being an adult? That makes no sense to me.

17 year olds should not have sex with 40 year olds. The age gap is not okay.

OH, you're confused? What rock have you been living under?

At the age of 17 one can have a driver license, buy a car; in some states get married w/o parental consent; get divorced from their spouse; if their parents are divorced, then they can legally make the choice which parent to live with; in some states divorce their parents; apply for credit cards; join and serve in the military; go to college; live on their own; be tried as an adult in a court of law, and be sentenced to jail/ prison as an adult.

GOSH... should I really go on, or do you understand that the age of 17 IS IN FACT Considered a Young Adult?

Hmm... Age gap is not okay? That is your opinion. Isn't that a matter of maturity rather than physical age? Yeah, that's just ONE of many factors. As long as there is mutual consent 17 year old persons can have sex whomever they want to.

NOW, go crawl back under that rock. DUMBASS.

Ok, I feel like we are arguing about semantics right now. The truth of the matter is that words have different definitions. Different people will have different definitions for "child", "adult", and "young adult". That's just the way it is.

Anyway, I still think that 17/40 is not an ok age gap. It's extremely creepy, even if you do consider a 17 year old a "young adult".

NO... No semantics here. Why do people who know they are losing an argument always say things like "well, it's all semantics", or "Well, agree to disagree"? That just shows their laziness of not wanting to have a discussion in fear of being wrong, and plain intellectual dishonesty.

We haven't even started discussing definitions. I listed LEGAL things that actually puts a 17 y/o person as an Adult... ya' know, facts. You are just stating your opinion. So, there is NO Argument about mine or your definitions - NO Semantics.

That being said, people are going to have sex with whomever they want (as I've stated before)... and a 17 year old person can and will have sex with someone much older than them (regardless of your opinion).

Therefore, I wish the OP all the luck in seducing his Aunt, and sharing a deep emotional and intimate bond with her. I may give advice in a later comment; but for now, I digress.
