Ancient wisdom: Compete not with others but yourself. Try and become a better person everyday than you were yesterday.

Try things like gym or long distance running, where you aren't competing with others but yourself. Overtime you regain your self-esteem and before you know it, you're winning those competitions you never won.

I won awards for extracurricular activities when I was a child. I no longer care for these awards, even though I still own them. I that in a way, that trophies can create jealousy and low self-esteem over them. Negative emotions over not wining anything, narcissism - if you're the type of person who is constantly winning trophies, being jealous towards people who constantly win, etc.

Awards aren't everything. If do something that has the promise of an award at the end, don't do it only for the reward. Do it for yourself.

As for the scholarships, I can understand being upset if you really need it. You probably didn't receive any scholarships because, you didn't qualify for them. Every university should have a financial aid department. If not, you could've gotten a loan or a rich and generous relative.

If racing ahead in life is what you wish, that is easy to attain. The question is, how many who have gotten ahead are any happier than you?
I've known many wealthy men and women quite well in my career, yet I haven't met very many that were happy.
I would suggest you shift your focus from rewards and awards to happiness and fulfillment. You have something like 45 years left; you should enjoy them.
