I have no friends, i've been dumped and i feel pressured

I'm 25 and I have no close friends to hang out with. I want to make friends but I have failed. I always feel pressured to talk when I'm in a group of people. I even feel pressured when talking to my family on the phone. I'm mostly out of words to say. I was even rejected by the one I loved for a few years. I live by myself often getting depressed.

  • Try to stop pressuring yourself. Noone is pressuring you to meet people, you can go at a pace you feel comfortable with as far as meeting people.

we'll sometimes this has a lot to do with your confidence and not being social enough to interact with people :/

try to read interesting topics and increase your social skills :D

I'm almost 19 and don't really have close friends either. I mean, I talk to some friends from school but mostly online or ocassionally texting. But I don't "hang out" with many people. Idk why that is but like you, I want to change. And yes, it is kind of depressing. It sucks cuz I'm actually a pretty cool person but I guess I don't put myself out there enough. =/

You know if you don't like the status quo, you have to do something different.
You might feel awkward. You might feel foolish. So what? Everyone I know really likes friendly, foolish, unpredictable people.

    • I agree. Seems you've had a bad run of luck. But I hope you can stop pressuring/judging yourself. Better to get out there and DO something - anything - that is going to get you circulating rather than bumming out alone.

Yes, I get it. Getting out there and doing something.. Loneliness is overrated. Atleast pretend to be happy till your happy.
