I have never tried drugs... ever!

I am 18 and in college and I have never tried drugs or had a drink. I see no need for that stuff. I already make questionable decisions when I'm sober so I don't know how I would act if I was high/drunk. Everyone else around me does it but me. Is it normal?

I beleive you xan do whatever you want.... If you dont want to try drugs, then dont. But i also believe that it doesnt hurt to try things once. Your not gonna become an addict from trying it once...... Unless its a hardcore drug like meth.... Dont do that shit

Just let him do whatever he thinks he wants to do
Out of his own so called free will. If he thinks he is better off without drugs then respect his decision and move on.
At least this way nobody will have a chance to use the convenient excuse of drugs once he fuck ups anyway.

doing drugs opens a whole new world and lets you see life in a different way. Personally i feel like people who have never done them are more narrow minded and less educated when its comes to life.

i know plenty of kids who dont drink/smoke. many of them say "they dont feel the need to." the thing is, most people that do it dont feel the need to- but if your responsible and not dependent on it than its a relatively safe way to have a really good time (talking mostly about drinking/weed). its very normal not do drugs or drink- some people just dont like it, but it might be worth examining why you wont even try it. i dont think its normal to be so prone to questionable decisions when your sober that your worried to have a drink, if that is in fact the reason you wont

I'm the same really. I don't drink cause I don't like the effects of it, but all my friends do. I smoke weed once every few weeks or so but that's about it.
If you feel happy without taking anything then good for you.

I don't smoke, don't drink, don't do drugs, you're not the only one, so you're normal.

  • You're normal. Iuno when the opposite became normal, rather sad actually. But even if the whole world did it, you'd still be the only normal one to me :)

Me neither, and I'm not going to. I know how to have fun nights *and* remember them afterwards. I don't think less of someone who chooses to drink, but personally I'd rather not drink (and certainly nothing harder either).

Your missing out on a lot actually. Not saying to go do hardcore drugs or anything. Getting intoxicated isn't going to make you go on some kind of uncontrollable rampage. Yeah you may make some silly decisions that you regret but there is lots of fun to be had. Don't let anyone fool you into feeling ashamed of your self for letting loose every once and a while.

I used to drink & also worked as a bartender. I think people who drink often lack coping skills needed to face reality. They drink to escape reality & problems. Same thing with "recreational" drug use.
