I am an 18 year old girl and I have never "liked" anyone. I have never had a crush on a girl or a boy. I've made out with girls and boys but all I feel is nothing and I feel really bad afterwards. Plenty of boys have tried to date me, but I just don't like boys and I do not want to hurt them so I turn them down. I know I don't like girls either so what am I! Am i destined to be lonely forever! About half people in my family never got married. Is this a hereditary condition like a hormone deficiency or something? Thanks.

    maybe you just don't fall for people easily. some people develop crushes easier than others. there's a good side to that..if you don't like anyone, you don't have to worry about getting your heart broke.

    I disagree with urnotnurml totally. I've never felt more then a fleeting crush or attraction for someone, and i'm the same age as you, give it time. Maybe you just haven't found anyone you can really connect with on the same level yet. Being friends with the person first might also help to fuel attraction. Books, t.v shows and films make it seem so instantanious but i think in real life it's totally different.

    try to get to know them ...try to talk to them for a few years... it might help

    you could be asexual....check out asexuality.org. I know some couples who are asexual, but they are together because they want the companionship. It is even possible for asexual couples to get married. Also, you're still young like I am and we're confused about a lot of things at this age. Give it some time...
