I have my whole wedding planned out

Is it weird that i have my whole wedding planned out???? I want to get marriage in Jamaica on the same island my parents eloped on. Me and my husband to be will be in our swim suits on a yacht in the middle of the beautiful Jamaican water, in our bathing suits (i would be in a cute little white bikini and heels and him in black trunks and a tie) once we have "kissed the bride" the pastor says" you may now take your first plunge into life together" and we jump into the water! their will be safety crew in a little boat that we will swim too, and they will take us off to get us prepped for the reception while everyone enjoys c*cktails (the drink, it changes it haha) and favors. When we arrive at the reception I'm in my beautiful dress we cut the cake, have our first dance, and the night goes on!!!!!!

anyway, is this normal?? I'm not even engaged yet haha

  • I guess your over-excited. Things don't always go as planned though, good luck.

But I do hope you're happy in your life and with the man you marry.

I guess it's pretty normal. Just romanticism, which is common, ESPECIALLY in girls. I want to get married outside... small ceremony, on a gazebo.... *sigh

  • Haha that's sweet. I wouldnt do it on a yaht, or in swimsuits, etc but planning your wedding like that is normall, especially for girls

Awwwe, that's so sweet! I love the little connections you've made ("Take your first plunge into life together!") and I like the theme itself.

I've had my dream wedding planned out since I was a little girl, adding to it as I've gotten older.
    I think it's completely normal. (:

haha, this is like the story of my life.

  • Weddings have really gotten out of control. The expectations are incredible, as suggested by the poster who has all the ideas, but no groom, and dare I ask how much money would you squander on this fantasy.

I'm sorry to say that because it is a nice fantasy. Maybe you are rich.

But ... more likely you presume to inflict the costs of this on your family. But anyway, honestly, where are the life priorities and perspective because these expensive over indulged fantasies are now seen as entitlements and are rampant?

I hate that girls are so into marriage. It's so stupid to me. It seems like everyone is just playing along with society's expectations of gender roles and gender interests. Girls like marriage and guys like football and beer and blah, blah, fucking blah.

You spend all that time planning/thinking about the wedding DAY. What about the next 40 years?

Or is that just an afterthought?
