I have lost the motivation to really play guitar like i use too

well I have lost the motovaition to play guitar like I use to. I use to be able to look at tab and just read it and than follow along with it and play the song. I still want to play guitar because it is somthing I find it relaxing, calming, fun, heart racing, and the girls like it too!! I Also have played on stage many times so Im not a scarred about a crowd, but I just get the " butterflies". I want to start my own blues/classic rock band, but no one wants to. Some people say yes but later change their mind as if to play a joke on me. It's not funny, I really want to start a band that would play those types of music. I would like to make this a career some day. Maybe I should some how become a solo artist and just be a "one man band" but how do I do this?what steps do I take? Music is my life!! I don't want to give up on somthing I have worked hard on for years. Please help!! Thank you.

Find some new music to inspire you. The most jazzy Panatonic stuff I like is 'minus the bear' or something a bit more chill like 'Appleseed cast'. Sagrmatha is a killer album. Inspiration is unique to the holder however. You should just try to broaden your horizons. You never know when it might strike.

If you want to be a serious guitar player why are you playing along with tabs? Is wheels on the bus that hard for you to transcribe? :D

I think a good first step would be to put an ad in your local newspaper that says something along the lines of "Guitarist seeking other serious musicians to play with in the vein of blues and classic rock." or something, and see who calls. Try to put together a four or five piece band, because being a one man act can be tough. If the right people call, find a place to rehearse, jam, and see what happens. If it's good, find a manager, start booking shows, and see how well the audience responds and how cool and energetic you look onstage. Eventually, record a demo and send it to record labels. And BTW, when you put your ad in the paper, be sure to also include bands you like. I hope this helps. Don't give up! To be a musician, you need perseverance. Good luck and rock on!
