I have lost my appetit, is it normal or should i consult a doctor?

Since about monday (4 Days prior to this post) I had begun to get pains in my diaphragm and a loss of appertite. I have been eating but only for flavours as opposed to feeling the need to eat.
I have not been feeling anything such as hunger, nor really ever full. I feel my stomach gurgling because it is empty but it doesn't feel "hungry", if this makes sense. Also when i eat instead of becoming full and therefore stop eating, I just begin to feel bloated and sick, which makes me stop eating for not wishing to vomit.
Along the lines of the diaphragmatic pains, I had on the Sunday been to a gig and had been quite active with conversing and singing etc... The pains come and go randomly sometimes when I breathe, other times inbetween breaths and can last between a few seconds and upto ~30 Seconds.
I have look at a few things but can't seem to pin-point anything as to why this may be. I do not feel any symptoms of an illness. However it should be noted that I sometimes suffer depressive episodes... As i said i cannot be sure if it is just a thing that will pass or whether i could be something serious (due to the shooting/stabbing pains in my lower chest).
Any help and thoughts on this matter will be greatly appreciated!!

What are you eating? I'm no expert, but have experienced many problems similar to what you describe. When I start to feel this way I am very conscious of the food I put in my belly. It needs to be easy to digest, high in protein, high nutritional content in small portions, and whole. Eating is sometimes a chore, but not eating creates many more problems.

I have the same symptoms with you and howaminotmyself.
If you are smoking, being kinda deprssed and don't eat tactically that's the problem i think.
It is not nescecary to do all the above but I think that except than smoking the other two are really realtive for this problem.
If you just eat what flavor you really want (for me is always cereals) then you probably have one or more symptoms of the above.

    Hello there!

This seems like something that needs a doctor or other medical professional's advice, however learned users on here are.

I recommend speaking with you doctor - just to check there's nothing much wrong.

    Good luck, my friend!

    xx

Maybe you are constipated or you just have indigestion.

What have you been eating? If the symptoms continue, you should go see a doctor.
