I have lost

I lost a great friend and mentor three evenings ago, is it normal to think I won't get over it?

It's normal to feel that way; sorry for your loss. You may not ever fully get over it, but just remember all the fun times you spent together. It'll get easier as time goes on, I think everyone who has lost someone they cared for has been in the same position as you are. Talk about how you're feeling with someone you trust who's close to you, (family or friend) let them know how you feel maybe they can ease the pain a little more and help you get through it.

I lost someone like that too, eventually I met other people who were just as great and they filled the gaps. Dont worry it hurts and feels kind of sad right now but you will too eventally meet other people just as great. For that to happen you have to let go of them. Sometimes when one door closes we cant see the other available door because we are too busy looking in the direction of the closed door. Move on, I know harder said than done but if you at least try you'll get somewhere.

Thanks, but I'm afraid it will be quite hard. Considering well over 500 people turned up to say goodbye today. He seriously was that great a man.

If I could have a quarter if those people at my funeral I would be humbled.
VALE OLD MATE, MISS YOU ALREADY.

Burying him tomorrow, @tommy yeah it is a little weird. But I had a life threatening situation a few years ago, and this bloke was one of the first to see me in the ER and was awesome to me over the years ifmy recovery.

It's normal for it to feel that way, especially so soon after the fact. But you will get over it, all we can do in life is keep moving forward.
