I have a habit of biting the inside of my mouth?

I will do this thing where I bite chunks out of the inside of my cheek and eat them. I became a problem because I couldn't stop, and the inside of my mouth gets really raw and just gross. I don't want to tell anyone because I personally don't think this is a huge deal. But I do want to stop, so is it normal and maybe some tips for how I can stop myself.

I do think its normal to chew a little on the inside of your mouth, but to bite out chunks is not normal. See a doc about that soon.

  • I think most people chew a little bit on the inside of your mouth, but to bite so hard that you are pulling off chunks is a concern. I would advise seeing a doctor.

I chew too, I'm trying to stop because it's probably doing more bad than good but I wouldn't say it's abnormal. Chunks is probably not a good thing. I would just try to chew a lot of gum or something so that you can focus on something else.
