Actually i need you guys advices and suggestions

My friend is a year older than me , his dad run away from home and his mom married another guy and had 3 children with her new husband. But , after married that guy, my friend family bcome started to hate him since he was 13, he always got bullied and beaten by his family even if he didn't do anything wrong. So he decided to left home and lived alone. He working for pay the rent and his foods ... it's been 6 years but his family still hating him. Sometimes his step dad will come to his house and asking for money, if he don't have give it , he'll be beaten up by his dad .. if he locked the door , his dad will beat him on the way home. It's make him depressed .. he don't know what to do .. please help.. he's my friend , even if i just know him 5 months ago but still we r friend and i wanna help him

    What do you mean, he doesn't know what to do? What his family is doing is called abuse and harassment. He needs to go to the police, rather than waiting around for someone else to fix his problem. That's what they're here for.

      He's too afraid to do it besides his family will beating him again if he dare to report it to the police

    Tell the police. If he is still a minor, make a report to child protective services.

    Can he not get a protective order from the local court for them to stay away from him? Do the cops actually enforce them in yr part of the world? I ask because it's very patchy in Australia - the bit of paper is nice to have but often useless when it comes to the crunch
