I have a crush on a 17 year old?

I'm a girl who is gonna be 19 in less than a month. I recently met a boy who comes into my job fairly often and we usually just talk about random subjects and laugh a lot for the majority of my shift. He always comes in with a backpack and would talk about his classes so I thought he was in his senior year but he just recently told me he turned 17 about 3 weeks ago and he's a junior in high school. That should've scared me off right there but it didn't at all! I asked him yesterday how him and his girlfriend are doing and he faintly smiled while saying he left her. Now knowing that he's single has only made me more attracted to him. I don't think we would ever be together but I don't mind the idea of it. And if one thing led to another and the opportunity came up to hook up with him there would be no hesitation. But IIN?

I think it's normal and the age difference isn't bad at all. It's not like he is 15 and you are 25. I say go for it.

I could understand if there was a huge age gap, but there isn't, so I'm confused as to why this is an issue. Are you opposed to dating people younger than you or something?

Silly. I was 19 and a half if you want to get technical about it, and dated a young lad who was like 17 and a quarter. So cute, he was. No harm done...well except those times we took some extacy…

No problem. You know how interesting he is and he knows you as well. You can be very casual about asking him out, but if you put your mind to it, you probably can give him the green light to be forward to you.
He needs you, should be your concern. Good luck.

It's not a problem as long as you don't seduce him before he's eighteen. Two years difference is nothing. Madonna, j-lo and the cheating house wives of reality tv date younger guys. When I was seventeen, I was more attracted to the eighteen and nineteen year olds instead of the younger ones.

I say go for it, if and when he's over his ex that is. I'm a 21 y/o woman and I like a guy who's 19 and a half. And one of his best friends is 14 and his gf is almost 18. Age doesn't matter :)

An eighteen year old is dating a fourteen year old? Sorry, but I think that's gross. A person who's graduating high school has no business being with someone who can't even try to get their driver's permit.

Give him about two weeks, and then go for it. Whenever people break up there always is a certain extent in which both people feel sorrowful.
