I have a bony butt....it hurts to sit! iin?

I hope somebody can relate....I have a bony butt! When I sit, it hurts. I feel a lot of pressure, as there's very little fat or muscle to cushion me. It cuts off my circulation too at times. I've been like this my whole life but seems to have gotten worse the past year. I've sat in people's laps and they have even remarked at how bony my butt is and said it was painful or uncomfortable for them.

Here's the thing though. I'm of normal weight-I possibly could even stand to lose 10 pounds if I wanted to be "perfect". I certainly don't need or want to gain weight and based on what I know about my body and how I carry weight, the weight would not go to my butt anyway :(

What can I do??? Any butt exercise suggestions?

Try doing more squats and lunges. You can also try the stair climber more. Effects arent instantanious so be patient.

  • How much do you weigh? I suggest that you hit the gym if possible and start lifting weights. Squats with weights and gradually add more and more weight when you can. Lunges, Kick backs etc etc. It will take loooottts of time though until you see results. So you have to be patient. I get impatient at times but seriously. It is worth the wait!! Lift/exercise, not much cardio. Withing a few months you will be set!

A lot of people are getting fat injected into their butts to give them a more shapely bottom. You could contact a plastic surgeon and check it out.

This happened to me after I got mononucleosis and lost a lot of weight, I remember it hurt to sit on hard chairs!
You should walk on an uphill incline, do squats and leg lunges. Try have those "Buns of Steel" butt workout vids also. If that doesn't work Id carry around a padded seat with you if you have to sit on hard surfaces.
Aside from getting butt cheek implants!
btw when I gained weight this problem stopped but I only weighed 114 and that was way too skinny for my size.

Go to your nearest butt doctor, and while you're there, ask him to find a way to get your head out of it!

I can relate. Inside of gaining fat, how about gaining some muscle? It should add some cushioning to your body.

Me too. I lost a lot of weight recently through an illness and I can definitely relate to this.

I now choose to sit on cushions as I have discovered that they are made of cloth and are soft. I don't know what genius synapse in my brain found this out but it is true! Cushions really are soft to sit on. Take my amazing knowledge and make it your own.
