I hate when strangers touch me.

I have always had this issue with strangers or people I am not close to touching me. It upsets me very much. I would never hug or put my hand on someone I did not consider a close friends and I get very annoyed if someone does that to me. It also annoys me when people get very close to me in line. I try keep moving away and I get angry if the person doesn't get the hint and back up or keep their distance.

It's normal. It happens at HEB, Wal-Mart, and school all of the time with me and many other people. My sister thinks its weird though.

Yeah I don't like strangers getting too close or touching me either. Can definitely relate. I don't know if it's normal or not, but it certainly doesn't hurt anything.

I live in a cave but the stone walls send shivers up my back as well. At least people are warm... Unless they are zombies, then cold, but still people! Always remember that.

And my cousin had a bad case of cooties and had to get her left leg operated on to stop the infection from reaching her left nut. My cousin's special.

Are you people afraid of cooties, or are you functionally autistic? Who cares if someone you don't know shakes your hand, brushes your arm or accidently bumps into you in line? If you hate humans, opt out of human society.

    Live in a cave.

Living in the deep South (USA)...Everyone's very touchy-feely and it freaks out the Yankees (northerners). Though it makes me feel loved. When somebody "needs a hug" there's definitely someone there to give it to that person.

I think it is normal and most of us over 35 were raised that way. Those under not so much. That said, people as adults are now more touchy feely than when I was kid and in my family we hug and kiss on the face. Not the lips. I HATE strangers, especially women calling me HONEY and DEAR.

Not shaking someone's hand when being greeted is rude and insulting, however, I agree that I do not like people to touch my arm or something like that without being invited to do so.

Regarding people being too close. Some parts of the world are very congested and it is common in some cultures to take up as little space as possible. If you can not bring yourself to ask someone to step away ... a good hacking cough usually gets the message across.

It's not completely normal but sounds fair enough, especially If you have been inappropriately touched in the past?

Guess that is pretty normal for someone with real good morals and decent character. When you don't know someon why should you like him/her to touch you or even get close to you etc :-)
