I hate when my friend talks about his girlfriend

Ok well i have this really shy friend and around may he was asked out by a girl. I felt really happy for him because he finally had someone special to him.
After about a month into it, it started to get weird. He was talking about how in a year he and her were going to have kids and get married and that she would drive him down to Florida(he refuses to get a drivers license so she drives) and they would go to disney world.
Over time the whole thing got really REALLY annoying. Every time i talk to my friend he somehow would ropes the subject of his girlfriend in the conversation. I mean we could be talking about food and he talks about her favorite food, we talk about a movie he talks about the last time he went to the movies with her, we talk about about a inside joke he comes up with the very lame: "Wait did someone say my girlfriend's name?" and then continues talking about her. At first i was happy for the guy now kinda angry and annoyed at the whole thing next time i see him and he brings her up i wanna just punch him in the face and tell him to shut up and lets talk about something else. Is this normal to hate hate a friend because he talks about his girlfriend ALL the time.

    Yeah, it's normal. It sounds like he's completely absorbed in his girlfriend, and he has become a bit of a douche bucket. This happens to most people during grade school, but since your friend never had a relationship until now...this awkward phase has been delayed. If you don't want to hear about it, just let him know. He'll likely take offense to it, but if you aren't a dick about it then he should know what you think. Or if you prefer the torture, just keep quiet.

    Do you have hidden feelings for your friend?

    Do you feel that her presence is taking the spotlight off you and your friendship?

    You know as a friend you should be considerate and realise your friend is in love. Maybe you should deeper and see what is provoking you to have such feelings towards your friend when he talks about his girlfriend.

    Saying a few stuff about your girlfriend is ok, but blearing at people. like a broken record player is very annoying. I never do it, so I don't see the point in other people doing it. No matter how much in love a person is, doing this is wrong and somewhat insulting.

    Tell him how you feel. That' when you're with him that is supposed to be "guy time" and it's annoying how he is always bring her up. It's nice and all to talk about a date or two but not every single one.
