is it normal to hate when people say your welcome after you say thank you. i know its common curdisy when people say your welcome, but i feel like its kinda smirky or like a little mean comment. idk i just dont like it

    I hate it when peopl say thank you in a weird way or they shout it at you or say it in a smarmy way. I'm like why can't people say thank you in a nice voice, thanking people is supposed to be a good thing. I used to get this a lot when I was a checkout operator.

    I say No problem. Saying "Your welcome" sounds like, "You should be!"
    I don't know. I'm Japanese so my ideas about manners might be kind of extreme haha

    I usually just nod with my head when somebody says thank you.

    Lol yea I know what you mean its like here take that ! the battle of politeness lol You could be like "thank you" and then they say "your welcome" and you could come back with "the pleasures mine" lol but thats just to extreme But yea I hate this too Like it makes everything akward like why cant you just leave it at thank you people ?
