I absolutely hate when people walk on carpet without socks on. I hate when people rub carpets/rugs, it drives me crazy.!! I hate touching it! I can walk on it only if I have socks on! If I see someone else touch/rub it walk on it without socks I cringe!
Anyone else feel like this? Is this normal?
The noise is the synthetic fibers. Ick.
I love rugs, but I've never found a soft carpet. Maybe if they were made of a non-manmade/plastic material, and something like bamboo I'd like them more. But no, synthetics I find prickly.
I don't think it's the cleanliness...it's More like the noise it makes when it's touched...and the way it feels against my hands/feet ugh.
Hmm..., I'm the complete opposite. I love to feel carpet. Especially if it's really soft, I think it feels so good. However, georgienne made a good point. Carpets are a lot harder to keep clean, and I think it's easier for things to get settled in there. And it's really hard if you have a dog that sheds, you'll find yourself vacuuming a lot more then you would like.

I'm not sure why. I think it's a combination if the synthetic fibr theyre often made of (kind of prickly), and the fact they aren't able to be taken out and beaten or cleaned properly.
I always wear socks on them. I can't stand the thought of the sweat and dirt that's sunk it's way to the base....
