I hate the word c*nt

Everytime my brother gets annoyed at someone he calles them c*nts. I have no gripes with any other words in the english language (I am a white male who's straight, so basically i'm bullet proof in the offensive words directed toward a certain demographic department) but this one word I hate with a passion. I get pissed off whenever he says it. I think the word is filthy and offensive to anyone in any language. The ultimate insult, if you will.

What are other peoples opinions on the subject of this word, or any other offending word? Also, is it normal that I show disgust to this word in particular?

    I have an extreme hate for this word too. All swear words are filthy really. Doesnt matter what one it is.

    honestlly cunt just means vagina, why do people get so worked up about it .. i think the word pussy sounds more dirty and disturbing when using it to refer to a vagina then cunt does.

    cunt is a vagina just like a dick is a penis or a cock.

    same thing. not really a big deal. get over it.

    Watch some frankie boyle, his scottish accent and the use of the word cunt in most of his punchlines will have you laughing and ultimatly you will end up using the word yourself, if not then your just a cunty cunt. :-)

    I'm a woman but I'm not all freaky about being PC or anything but I cringe when people use that word or the n-word or drop the f-bomb several times in a sentence lol. You can say shit, damn, bitch or any other word 50 times in a row and I couldn't care less but when I hear those 3 that I previously mentioned it makes me like sick to my stomach, i don't know why

    True, some people can find it offensive, I find it to be the ultimate extremity of a situation. Example: Insult - Your a wanker vs your a c*nt of course the second is more insulting. Sadness - something really sad happens those poor guys vs those poor c*nts of course the second is more the extreme so something really bad must of happened to the use the second phrase. Those are just 2 examples, there are heaps more, but I'm not going to write them all down lol
