I hate the complaining about cost of postage stamps!!

Whenever the USPS announces a couple cent rise of cost of a stamp, people get so outraged!! I hate that!! Is 44 cents REALLY too much to pay for the privelege of sending a letter as far as from Maine to Hawaii?? I hardly think so. It would cost more than 44 cents to drive your letter even just down the street let alone to another city/state!!

If people really want to complain about the USPS, then look at how much money these employees make for jobs that a trained monkey could do!!

Or complain that the USPS pays to advertise in multiple media outlets!! Really, who doesn't know about the post office?? They really have to advertise??

Or that since the postal service started in 1775, they have NEVER made a profit?

So....is it normal to be annoyed when people freak about a couple cents increase for a stamp??

    Stamps are legal currency in this country and no longer have the price marked on them, just a 1st or 2nd for first class or second class.

    If you convert all your savings to stamps the day before they go up, and convert them back to money the day after, you make an instant killing. I'm not sure why I'm the only one who has thought this.

    Well, there are alternatives like e-mail or talking on the phone. However, sending information by mail is becoming a lost art. We mustn't let it go extinct!

    Dappled I don't think it's very convenient to sell hundreds of thousands worth of stamps to individual users.

    It is def a petty thing to complain about, but people that complain about that kind of stuff are always looking for something to complain about whether they know it or not.

    Theres a 10 cent increase in public transportation here every year, and when folks complain about it it really erks me. Come on just throw enough silver change in so that it looks sufficient. True story: I got on the bus one time with 7 cents. Im that good of a haggling drunk!
