I just hate text-talk. You know, when people leave out vowels and speak in acronyms. It's just so annoying to read and I don't think most people realize how illiterate it makes them sound. And stupid, sometimes. I'm 17 so I know I'm in the minority in my generation, but I wanted to know how many other people agreed or disagreed with me.
It is pure laziness to use 'text talk'. It shows the state our society is in when some people can not even be bothered to talk properly.
I hate it too, the most text talk I use is like, "lol" or "haha".
I don't even use "idk".

I try to avoid it EXCEPT with this one friend who is addicted to texting. I will do it with her to try and convey that I'm not big on texting and don't want to do it very much. Sadly it doesn't work.
Many years ago before texting was invented (shock, I know!) I typed that way when I was talking to customers on the phone and had to enter our conversation into the computer. It's nothing new. Just more available to see by because of texting.
