I hate religion

I agree very strongly. Science and evolution explain far more than your "holy book". Religion has caused pain and death to millions. Im not going to repeat what you just said because it would waste your time. And for all you people out there who are hipnotized by a religion, dont leave nasty comments. He is just speaking his mind on a site that allows him to do so. S anyway, if you need any help, i suppport you 100%. but i would like to know more about how you feel towards this.

I have started to hate religion as well. I know hate is a negative thought but I am finding it hard not to think like this. It could not be plainer to see where life has come from, science has explained just about everything. I know allot of people don%%u2019t have this intelligence and that explains allot. Being brainwashed and ignorant explains the rest but it still frustrates me so much. the only time I have ever heard anyone talking religiously would have been on TV and i just thought it was a joke. I have just found out that my new mate at college thinks the world was created in 7 days and believes everything else in the bible. It is so frustrating how people can be so wrong about everything. I know he has been brainwashed by his family from a young age but it just frustrates my so much that he cannot see the truth. I have never felt this frustrated about anything before.

Religion is a reaaallly old way of manipulating people into doing what you want, be it war, peace or chasing women. People have always been supersticious and afraid of what they can't understand, and since religion came way before science, they bought into it.

If you think about it, all of those holy books that seem to guide most religions are really just works of fiction. Read the whole freakin' bible, I dare ya, you'll find that it's about as real as the Harry Potter books. Think about the whole concept of religion too! Russel's Teapot, the Invisible Pink Unicorn, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, Gordon Freeman, and even C'thulhu are as likely to exist as anything else people worship.

well, i am in no way religious, i do believe it foolish, because if there is a god, why would he want you sitting in some building for a couple hours giving money to old dudes?

Even though hate is a human emotion, it's not healthy. I can understand how you would feel that in the face of injustice, but that is not how to deal with injustice.
Religious people could quote to you from their books, and you could come with scientific facts in the end, none would be the wiser because you believe in the scientific method, and they believe in their books, even if the scientific method is logical.
What you're saying is ethically religion is wrong, then show them that the scientific method or your way is ethically superior, dont be an ass about it by hating.

I live in Israel and I hate religion.
We are fucked over the years by islamic religious people for wanting us out of this land because their religion says so.
We are fucked by the jewish religion that says this stupid land belongs to us, so it's the jewish religion word against the islamic religion word, and we ( the secular citizens who are the majority of this nation) have to stand between and take the suffer for this. We are fucked once again by the jewish religious people for being made to finance them all and their "Yeshiva" (<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshiva" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeshiva</a>). So we get ripped off for financing those jewish-religious people and heavily financing the wars against those islamic religious people that nothings is left of our salary to allow decent living.

i agree completly. religion is probably the number one reason for war. its terrible. peaple often have a hard time respecting and accepting other peoples religion, and that leads to pain and despair.

its also really sad that so many peaple devote themselves to this random god. you go into a curch and hear pretty singing and fancy, peace, happiness. but then you realize these peaple are all in this curch becouse of a ramdom dude in the sky made up thosands of years ago so that wayward villigers in ancient greece would not misbehave. its useless. if it makes peaple happy, fine. i respect that. but i also think its a load of shit.

That is not my religion. The messages of most religion teach peace, it is only when someone sees it as a tool for their personal gain does it cause pain and strife. It is not religion, it is the MAN.

Religion can suck my nuts. It's for the mentally weak who can't handle their own problems and who are afraid of death with nothing after it. The evidence is there, religious people just choose to ignore it when presented with any.

I was raised going to Baptist churches 3 times a week. It was torture because I realized I was gay at the age of 13. So I had to spend much of my childhood in an environment that was almost constantly telling me I was going to burn in hell and I was a horrible child molester and whatnot. FUCK that. You are so ignorant and stupid if you believe that nonsense. The "god" of the bible is a total dick and has murdered more people and children than any human ever has. So you can worship that if you want, but I'm OUT.

Religion should be hi-tech, with flying cars and robots, and cyborgs, and ray guns and sunglasses as a single strip around your head, and a trident powered by a laser with fancy buttons, radar, and all those gizmos and gadgets. If for instance Poseidon wore such sunglasses and had such a trident and his clothes had rings around them (I know the gods are not the same now as they were in primitive times), that would be so cool! The future is not the primitive stuff other religions say it is, the system I developed even says "welcome to beyond the future". Ka zam!

I think you had quite a poor and twisted experience with religion at the very core though.
Learn the whole truth of the matter first. Learn what is the religion is actually supposed to be.
Otherwise, you can't really say much of anything and have any real weight.
