Religions are the most dangerous acient invention of mankind, they have killes millions of people (and still do it) just for stupid interpretations... Seriously i do believe in an all mighty God but would never believe in any religion cuz they are just mankind invention... And also, so lately relligions are a business, a very dirty business, selling heaven to people stupid enough to bekieve that just for giving money to the church will wash away all sins.... Daaamd really pisses me off all that stuff!!

I think thats normal, I'm atheist and i get bugged when people talk as if their god / gods exist, and it's an indisputable fact. I despise it when people aren't open to suggestion.

I am the same. I was never brought up in any kind of religious way by my parents as a child (and I think it's wrong that parents should automatically preach their own beliefs to their kids) but as I grew older I started reading books from people like dawkins and many other accomplished atheist writers and philosophers. I am a 10/10 atheist now and have strong political views on the place of religion and faith in state institutions. I'll tolerate people who are religious, but not people who try and preach to me or affect anyone else, especially the government or a school, with their personal beliefs. If I see that happening I get quite mad and often go and read my favourite atheist book or post on an athiest forum or something.

I wish all religions would just F*ck off and that people who follow them would grow up and see the reality. It really gets to me sometimes how stupid and ignorant people can be. I can't deny that, as an athiest, I feel superior to religious people. I genuinely do, I pity religious people.

I don't get when people say that god told them something. Or when I have a problem and ask for advise, their best advise is "ask god to help you". I just can't seem to seriously talk to someone in my head who I can't hear.

Better yet, what if religion was created by the devil to fool everyone that it is from god, no one ever thinks of that. What if religion was around just to manipulate our brains, fool and con us. I mean look at the middle east going to war over religion. Is religion not about happiness and entering the realm of the gods?

What i really get annoyed about is the fact that wars are started because of religion and people are killed by people for not believing the "right" religion. Religion brings more harm than good. There is no point in it anyway, the only reason religion exists is to explain things we dont understand, but science explains everything now! so leT it go!

hah thats funny. i think i do too. i find myself rolling my eyes, then i hope no one saw me. since so many people around me are religious its not easy telling people i dont believe in god or anything because they just dont get it. and when people are like GOD BLESS im just like wow thats really gonna help them... but anyways, youre normal. if not, i guess we'll be abnormal together, but really..who decides if we're normal or not? i think we judge our selves based on other people. to me, everyone is normal because everyone is here..we're all here, we're all normal.

I feel the same way as you, I dont hate them but honestly the majority of them try to press their beliefs. I had a long time friend that picked up religion and now he is a totally bitter individual, if it is not about religion he does not want to know. He told me he was married to his girlfriend and then later confessed he never married her after she cheated on him. I actually believed him and he took me for a ride. He said after he was pretending for his "wife" but he really didn't care about religion. What a jerk.

Another reason I feel this way is because my mom's best friend used to go to church everyday, allday. The church ripped her off of her money in some scandal that happened and now she doesn't take up religion. If you really had strong beliefs a couple hundred bucks wouldn't stop that. On top of all this the pastor was an ex convict for drug trafficking and he never told anyone until they found out about it.

The ghurka regiment recently got a bollocking bexaus of the way they slaughter animals. They moved into a village in afgan after clearing out the taliban. The vilagers gave them a goat to show there appreciation. The ghurkas cut off its head with a knife and cooked it. The entire village went mental all because they didnt kill it in a " halal" way and the troops had to withdraw to prevent further violence. This just shows how intollerant islam is.

I dont hate religon, i just dont understand it. I believe it is a waste of time to read the Bible & let your self become obsessed with what some precher says that has never even met God. Nones of us have litteraly met God. I believe that he watches us, that he wants us to live our life and let our everyday be something we learn from. I believe that there are sins, but i believe that God understands everything we do, and why we do it. And i believe if we knoe we did wrong he understands that. We dont have to go praying for his forgivness and all the he has created us to have the stregth to do it on our own.

I think so many people are so religious is because of the way they were raised as children. Things you are taught from your parents (especially if the parents are incredibly harsh about it) can stay permanently there forever and eventually it becomes something they rely strongly on for comfort.

I think part of the reason these religious-psycho's get so angry is because they fear losing that belief.

What saddens me is the way my religion, Roman Catholic screwed up the Jesus# message and made all these rules without compassion, which was what Jesus was AGAINST. Jesus went with the so-called sinners including the ones which were supposedly born sinners (the blind, deaf ect were considered to have been punished by God back in Jesus' day)... Yet we have the same thing today with women and homosexuals in the church! Because people were born differently, they get less rights!? Isn't this what Jesus was saying was wrong?

Like he said to the pharisees:
"Who is the sinner? He or his parents?"
Roman Catholics are being exactly like the pharisees! Giving all these rules with no compassion or lee-way involved... Brake them and you have sinned. End of.

Me too !!! but i believe in God, I am cristian. .. I read my bible and that is my only relligion.. I don't follow any church... they are man made. .. not the bible.

thank god im not the only one that cant stand religion. i cant stand watching ppl like my mom waisting there life away in a boring lifestyle for something that is in a book. hell, if someone said harry potter was a bible, would you worship Dumbledore? and would you think that Voldimort was satin? seriously...for all we know the bible was just some scam or fictional fairytale someone got bored and came up with. it makes me sick.
