      The word has been misappropriated. It should be reserved for intelligent but socially awkward people.

        I used to be bothered with people misusing words, but then I realized that getting upset over it is a waste of time and emotions. Then again, I live in the ghetto, so people talk weird here all the time. Lol

    Also it’s kinda turned into a compliment descriptor. Nerdy is viewed more positive attribute then a negative.
