I hate my family other than my mom dad and sis!!!!!!!

So one time i was at a family "reunion" and realize i really couldn't care what the hell could happen to them(death, cancer, ect). my auntie broke her hips and the doc said she could never walk and when i heard about this i almost started to laugh. and my other auntie is dieing with cancer. is this normal

    Sounds tough. We all express things in our own ways though.Maybe you are not close to these relatives, perhaps they haven't been there for you and your family when you needed them in the past.I agree that just because they are your family that doesnot mean you automatically do or should care what happens to them.In a few years time you may change your mind about them.

    Well if your not too close to them theyre basically strangers and family by title alone so i guess its normal to not care
    but to laugh? thats fucked up

    I'm not bothered about my non-immediate family except my grandma, but I have compassion for everyone. I wouldn't want anyone to not be able to walk or get cancer, even if I hate them. Why do you hate them so much, and do you feel like this about other people too?
