I hate my brother for no reason. iin?

Ok, so I hate my brother. He isn't annoying, he's ridiculously kind, he's hygienic and all that stuff. He's got really low confidence, and it really shows. He stutters when he asks questions, he's really quiet & he never says no. He would do anything for me and never gets angry, at me anyway. When i'm in a bad mood he always comes and talks to me and I always try to hit him, but he'll just catch my hand gently and then walk away. The only person he's a dick to is my dad, because honestly my dad is annoying. All this and I hate him, I don't know why, and I don't know how I could hate him, but I do. IIN?

    It's not hate. He would need to do something awful to you for you to actually hate him. You maybe don't feel that you have a lot in common but I'm sure many of us would love a brother like that - instead of the selfish b@stards that I have!!

    You're maybe just hormonal and hate all your family at the moment and love your friends. That's normal.

      In not sure... We have loads in common. I don't hate my whole family. Maybe its because he is not a selfish ass like everyone elses brother. Anyway its up to me to try and not hate him because its not good for his self esteem and hes a nice guy. Why hate a nice guy?

        Dunno you've got me on that one! Maybe you just want to see how far you can push him before he blows up. Children tend to do that with their parents in order to test the limits.

        Be glad you have him. My nephew was killed at 17, he was one of 3 brothers, and it's been so hard - regretting what we should've said to him, shouldn't have said ... etc.

          No... I have seen him blow up. He picked up this guy twice the size of him by the neck it was crazy scary. Though I have done that with my dad.

    What are you really angry at? sounds like you need to help him.he has low confidence and being a pushover is not a good trait for a male to possess

      I dont hate him. I hate how he is. Its his lack of confidence and the way when people are harsh to him he says sorry. I can go on for a while but it'd be really long.

        That's your answer right there. You hate his LACK OF CONFIDENCE and THE WAY WHEN PEOPLE ARE HARSH TO HIM HE SAYS SORRY and more. So you should already know why you hate him.

        Sorry I singled you out. I see so many posts that start "I hate" and the negativity really saps me. It wasn't anything about your post in particular (which was better than most). But I also wonder why people can't talk in the positive rather than the negative.

        For instance:-
        1: I hate my brother for no reason
        2: I want to help my brother become more assertive

        Two ways of saying virtually the same thing, but look at the difference between how they sound.

          I see what you mean. At the time I wrote this I was really p*ssed off but I knew I shouldn't have been. The thing i he's not ugly he's smart and he's nice. So why is he so unconfident? Why does he let himself be walked all over?

            To be honest, I've posted when I'm fed up too.

            I let myself be walked over too. It's a cunning plan, though. It's to work out who are the kind of people who'd do that to me, and then I quietly shift them out of my life. It's a bit of a test.
