I can't stand 'retarded' people. It makes me cringe to be around them. I honestly am not being mean or writing this to purposely offend anyone, but I must be honest.
I hate them, especially the ones that jump and rock back and forth and yell random shit really loud, and also the ones that are extremely creepy and desperate for love with every person they come across. I had an experience where this sped girl asked me if I wanted to have sex with her, and that she has had sex with her cousin (male). They have filthy hygiene and just gross me out. And they honestly disturb me so much, especially seeing them in school thinking to myself, why are these people being 'educated' when they will just sit on a pension doing nothing.
I'm sure some are nice, but from my experience I hate them and would never be able to raise one or even be around one. It would drive me to insanity.

    my brother is mentally handicapped so i have a lot of compassion for people with disabilities. i think part of the reason you feel the way you do is because you don't understand them. It's okay to feel uncomfortable around people who are different than you. That part is actually very normal.

    I'm wondering why you think this way.

    In my experience mentally handicapped people can be a lot of fun to hang out with.

    I used to work with a guy who had down syndrome. He made work so much more fun and was always causing problems. It was great.

    I'm sorry, but my experience with the mentally challenged has been bad, and I am a pretty empathetic person. When I was a kid working for McDonald's, we had a mentally challenged kid by the name of Steve, but people called him Steve'o (steeve-oh. Irritating. Anyway, I was, and still am very conscientious of my customers, making sure they get the best quality product we had to offer. As I was working the grill this kid was picking his nose and that is not the worst of it. He then started to dig in his butt and then went to reach for customers food! Me on instinct slapped his hand away from the food! He criers out "You can't hit Steve'o!" Then the manager comes running over saying "Did you hit him? You can't hit him!" I was like Oh yeah? You want him to put his butt boogery hands on everything! Disgusting! People make them feel like they're extra special and can do no wrong! You treat him like everyone else, or he doesn't belong on the workforce.

    I work alongside mental retards, and theyr not as useless as many think they are. They're people who are wiling to work and they enjoy it, unlike most of us 'normal' people. They need to be cared for like children, I agree, but there are enough people who like to do so. Its completely normal of you to think this way.
