I hate looking in mirrors late at night!

Ok so sometimes i will wake up in the middle of the night, and everyone in my house will be sleep. I live with my brother my aunt and my cousin. my room is in the basement, but anyways... not only do i hate being the only person awake in the middle of the night, but i hate haveing to use the bathroom. Ok that may sound funny but heres why.. Everytime i go to pee, i always walk in the bathroom and turn and face towards the wall opposite the huge mirror we have in there. Since i was a kid i hated looking in the mirror cause i just always have this feeling that if i do look in the mirror there just might be a guy in all black standing there beside me or some crazy stuff like that.

I dont know if anyone has seen the remake of the movie AmityVille horror, but there is a scene in the movie when the little boy goes to use the bath room and he looks in the mirror and some scary ass demon things is right there with him.. and thats the kind of stuff that i think about when i look in the mirror late at night.

Is this normal? Does anyone else wonder if there might just be someone there with you?

Is normal. Grandparents used to tell me that is bad to look at mirrors at night. They never explained why, but over time I found out that you can see unpleasant things, such as ghosts. I used to not look at the mirrors at night when I was young, now I don't care any more of that crap. I don't believe in ghosts so I don't think I'll see anything unpleasant. I use mirrors all the time at night, with lights on or off, never seen anything. I belive is all in the brain, if you watch scary movies or believe in ghosts your mind might interpret things in various ways, such as your own shade or your reflection in the mirror, or even curtains or other objects moving in the background from the wind which might catch the corner of your eye in the mirror and your brain translates that as something else.

I agree, I hate looking in mirrors at night, its like when i was a kid, everyone was always like dont say bloody mary in the mirror three times, a demon will come out. Well you know when you try your hardest not to , but in your head when your thinking about it, you say is "bloody mary bloody mary bloody mary bloody mary bloody mary" and you tell yourself to stop but you can't its like that,
FREAKKY BUT TOTALLY NORMAL.. I THINK EVERYONE HAS HAD AT LEAST ONE EXPERIENCE LIKE THIS :)

Oh! I'm the same. I'm skeptical of everything and don't believe in ghosts, monsters, the boogie, demons, angels and the like, but hell mirrors at night freak me out.

i think you should stare into the mirror cause someone on the other side is trying to tell you something and your mind subconciously senses that but due to the way you've been raised your avoiding this becauseof fear in ghosts and monsters and creatures of fantasy.
if not you'll realize there is actually nothing there and your fear should no longer have any affect on you. mirrors have been known to be mysterious and sometimes believed to show a view into paranormal realms.

This is really starting to make me mad, i went in there last night and (turned on the light) and quickly glanced in the mirror... as soon as i turned my head away i thought that my reflection would still be there staring at me!!! What is wrong with me?
