I agree. As I've gotten older, I find that I like people less and less. Thier mannerisms and the way they consistently jockey for position all the time. What I mean by that is that I don't like the way they talk over each other in an effort to be the smartest guy in the room. I also find that no matter what, I am always talked over or just plain ignored and that makes me dislike people even more. No matter where I go it happens. Even training for my new job online! I try to be nice and cordial and affable, but something inevitably pisses me off and makes me go back into my corner. I also find that no matter how I present a situation that I was involved with to someone, they always take the other side and go against me. This really irritates me. I understand that I can't be right all the time, but I certainly can't be wrong 100% of the time either. I know that this is bad behaviour that will lead to me becoming a bitter old hag, but outside of seeing a shrink, I'm really not sure what to do. Good luck to you. I completely understand where you're coming from.
