Is it normal that i hate my girlfriends ex's with so much intensity, that if i were to see them on the sidewalk i would literally kill them? I dont mean to sound really jealous or crazy, but i just hate them for the way they treated her. Last year my girlfriends best friend died in a car wreck. This is pretty much where it started. Her and her ex "Connery" had been dating on and off for about a year or two, and then on that day he dumped her, knowing that her friend had passed away just hours before he told her that. Then she had another boyfriend named "Jordan," he was the jock type, she met me in the midst of that relationship. Jordan had found out that she was cheating on him with me, and said to her "I bet She is looking down on you wondering what a little w**** you are!" and calling her friend a bunch of names.

i dont have a problem with them personally but, just because they hurt her so bad, i want to beat the living hell out of them.
is it normal to hate them so much?

    Your girlfriend's ex's what?
    Coat,jacket,nose,feet, fashion sense?
    Or do you mean your girlfriend's ex-boyfriends? (No apostrophe because it is a noun).
    Why do you hate them so much? The reasons you give are not very sound I think a little mature thinking would be in order.

    well the first one was bullshit. But the second I'd be pissed and call names too if my boyfriens cheated on me. I'd be furious. He had a purpose there. Actually I'd kill my bf if he cheated. Now if he was mean before she started cheating then he was just a dick. But really what if she cheated on you, same deal, and it's perfectly normal to get jealous. I'm jealous of my boyfriends ex'es but because of the fact of I never want to picture my man pleasuring and being as sweet to any chick but me. But my boyfriend feels the exact same way about my ex as you do, he hurt me bad and he hates him for what he did to me.

    yes of course. if you care about someone, you want to protect them, and you never want to think about them hurting, even if it was before you. i think it would be unusual if there wasnt a little bit of rage.

    Personally, I'm not surprised you'd feel that way. If someone upset or insulted someone I care about, I'd probably feel like hurting them too. Even worse if they were physically harmed by someone. To hate, seems reasonable enough. But to do anything that would get you arrested for assault or murder/attempted murder, not a good idea.

    hates healthy. Perfectly normal. If you dont hate others who deserve it you may hate someone you shouldn't and hurt them or worse yourself.

    it's perfectly normal to really dislike your girlfriend's exes.. but knowing youd literally kill them is a little much

    It is normal to be angry at them and or jealous. But that happened before, you just need to show her what a good boyfriend you are. Be above them and be mature, don't fight but ignore them completely. If they say a bad name to you or your girlfriend again in public or a phone call, i would understand if you hit him in the face.
