I hate female doctors. iin?

I hate all female medical doctors. Every one that I've ever been to has been an uber-bitch who acts like she has something to prove constantly.

I find they're too concerned about showing off their PhD than actually helping people. They're always so concerned with being 'different' or 'better', but it doesn't work.

They're just no good at the job, they're not focused on you, the patient, they're focused on themselves and forcing their way into a man's world. If they'd just act like a normal human without all the extra agendas then, fine, be a Dr. But if you can't shake that urge to bust the mold all the time at the risk of your patients, then GTFO.

is it normal to dislike female doctors?

Huh. Most of my doctors are female and I've never had a problem with them I have dealt with a few callous bitches and one woman who fucking forgot to list vaccinations on my medical record so I had to do them over again but overall I've had more good than bad experiences.

I'd think it'd be more reasonable to say the female doctors you've had the displeasure of working with are bad seeds.
What you're stating is comparable to saying "Every time I eat mac-n-cheese it's burnt; therefore mac-n-cheese is gross," even though not all mac-n-cheese is burnt. In this analogy, if you don't like mac-n-cheese- you're a real jerk. XD I kid. But seriously, Not all mac-n-cheese is burnt.

Why are all of your doctors PhDs? If you're seeing a doctor for your physical (rather than mental) health, they should be an MD.

I don't know what you're talking about. My doctors never show off their PhD. But here comes the disection.

My guess is that the doctors aren't that bad you're just a woman hater.

Maybe your hate for them is apparent and that's why they don't treat you very well?

Sexist much? My mom used to work for two male doctors, and one was a total douche. Both my gynecologist and the nurse practicioner I go to are women and I've never had a problem with either of them. Both are nice and easy to talk to.

I have a problem with male doctors. They freak me out and every time I get one I can't help but think they're pervs...

Ironic perhaps, but you're generalizing. Not all female doctors have sticks up their bums.
Avoid them if you don't like them, try to get only male doctors.

All the female doctor's I've had were great, as good if not better than the males. I'm sorry that you got a few bad seeds, but generalizing is never a good thing.

Maybe you're just seeing the wrong doctors, period. My PCP is a female, and she's the most caring and helpful doctor I've ever had. Yes, there are some female doctors who only try to prove themselves to men (one of my exes is such a doctor), but you have male doctors who also want to prove themselves. There are terrible male doctors just like there are terrible female doctors.
You just need to find the right one for you ^_^

I've had female doctors and they were great.
On the other hand I've had male doctors not listen to me and dismiss my ailment as in my head and suggest therapy. Later to complain more. they did more tests and found out I DID have a physical problem. I made them eat dirt.
But not every doctor is a jerk. Good and bad in both.

All my female doctors I've had were rather good. I haven't had any bad experiences with them. But I know there are terrible doctors out there, BIG time.

The worst doctor I had was a male truthfully and no I'm not saying I hate male doctors it's just I had it opposite from what you had.

    Female doctors are definitely needed.
Many women prefer a female doctor especially for pap smears etc.
Who knows, they may be a 'bitch' to you because they are actually lesbian! What do you think of that fantasy now? That's right lesbians are usually bitches, ok I said it.

Yeah, I prefer female to male ob/gyns. Having a male ob would be uncomfortable for me for some reason, like having a mechanic that has never owned a car.

      Comment Hidden ( show )
  • I never go to them so i wouldn't know.

However, I WILL NOT go to a woman doctor, fly on a plane with a woman pilot or eat at a resturaunt with a woman chef. I am putting my life in these peoples hands in these situations and i take that very seriously indeed.

My experience is they aren't careful. I've been in for a ton of major injuries and even cut off my thumb and they act as if I'm overreacting to the pain. Then I go to follow up appointments with someone else and the guys are a lot more sensitive and nicer. I even like male gynos better. The women think "they know what it feels like" so they just dig right in. But, I am proud of those ladies! They have a PHD so why not show it off? They worked hard for it! My problem is with female cops. They're so sure of themselves and have to prove they're big and bad.

Choosing a doctor is a very personal choice and yes, gender matters. When it comes to your body you have every right to choose who you are most comfortable with and gender can be one of the criteria. I prefer female ob/gyns but I prefer male therapists. I have that right.

If you feel that people should be offended by another person's personal choices then... well I'm sorry you feel that way. Medical decisions should be based on comfort. It's the best way to establish a good doctor-patient relationship. I apologize of you don't understand that but that's the best I can explain it to you.

      • I understand it completely. I agree that people sometimes (or most times) preffer to choose their gender due to being comfortable more with one of them. I was just simply stating that I think this person is just going to get a lot of "hurt" people commenting here.

I really don't see why they would. It's a valid observation, and if he feels like a female doctor is unsuited to treat him than he has every right. It's his body and he should have a choice in who touches it. I understand your whole "defense of males" stance, but if someone were to come here saying that they refuse to be treated by a male doctor because they have all been insensitive assholes to him, you'd probably be the first to administer said butthurt.

I don't know about you but if someone has had bad experiences with gender, race or even giraffes I can't tell them that their entire experience is invalid. All I could tell them is to be like any other reasonable human being and exercise caution but understand the danger in generalizations.

            -
          • Yes, most likely I would react. Although, I fully agree we should be allowed to choose our genders, and I know it is understandable if women got "butthurt" over this, so it wasn't exactly me saying "Here goes the unneeded butthurt parade", if you get what I mean.

Well, I don't have that problem. I have been a victim of males far more than I have females, one was even a pedophile, and I still preffer a male doctor. I can see why others would choose one to suit their needs, though.

It pisses me off that even when I can see nothing that could possibly be interpreted as offensive in your posts, people still vote you down.

I definitely prefer female OB/GYNs, if you're fiddling with a speculum down there I want you to have firsthand knowledge on the hardward. :P

I had a gyno once that was too rough... never went back. Ever. >.O

I understand but doubtful it was necessary. No insult intended, but you're the only poster so far that has said anything negative about this guy saying that he doesn't like female doctors.

I'm not going to pretend to understand why you'd want to come out as so negative concerning something as simple as a guy asking about his choice of doctor but that's your business.

I agree with bad female drs only because I have found they misdiagnose me EVERY TIME. It is so rediculous. Standing in the corner on the other side of the room writing notes isn't helping, lady. Get over here, look in my ears, check for a rash and listen to me!!!

Men are problem solvers, you come to them with a problem, they will poke around until they come up with a solution. It isn't theoretical, it isn't story time, get over here!!!!

As for the obgyn, I had one female, one time. It completely freaked me out, ha!! A woman is not supposed to be down there as far as I'm concerned.

I am actually going tomorrow to a dr. 30 minutes away because he is the only available man around. If that is what it takes to get a proper diagnosis, so be it.

You know most doctors I have had in my life have been female. I kind of just figured most doctors were women. If you have had bad experiences with female doctors I could see why you would be frustrated. Some females try and overcompensate when they are working in a males field. Some people say female cops will sometimes do this. While most of my doctors have just acted like doctors I have heard of this type of behaviour for other fields. I do not think all female doctors are bad just for being female though. I myself have a fear of doctors as a whole anyways. So to me all doctors scare me.

Three of the four parents I work for right now are doctors, all specialists. Two are women. They're not at all like that because they're professionals and also good people.

My GP is a woman. She's a bitch and I don't like her but I think that's just her personality rather than anything else.
