I hate fashion and do not like spending money on clothes

I hate shopping for clothes. I generally go to thrift shops and buy second hand clothes and even go out with holes in my socks and trousers. Some people think I am hipster but I do not think so, I just really don't see the point in following trends and I have no interest in fashion whatsoever. There are so many more valuable things that I can use my money for(travel, food, drinks)

    I hate it too. It's materialistic, coercive, commercialized, gender-policed, focus-grouped, sweat-shop manufactured, uncreative rubbish. Everything about it makes me feel fidgety and awkward and horrible until I have to run out so I don't have a full blown panic attack.

    I agree. I won't wear anything that has a logo on it. Usually just wear plain tee shirts and black slacks.

    I wont buy or wear things woth a bunch if holes but I have shopped at goodwill before.
    I put together 2 halloween costumes shopping at goodwill last year(its a new year today feels weird!)
    I also got a cute black dress from there.
    You can find nice clothing from goodwill it may take some time and a bit of looking!

    I care about fashion...maybe not in the same way others do. I like to look nice and have a taste for more asian fashion. So most of my shopping is online....I generally wear what I like im not concerned if its the latest thing.
    but mostly I like to look and feel nice.

    i like thrift stores too. you can find pretty neat stuff. but the only difference is, i do like clothes, but i don't follow the latest fashions, i wear what i want when i want even if its out of style. if i like it, that's all that matters. people who don't like it can sod off.

    Trendy can be boring. I mean stores stock rehashed new trends for people to buy. Its what they do. Hey, they've gotta sell to make money. You're immune to their offerings. For you? Good! I'm half and half. I end up buying stuff then I find I'm wearing my most comfy clothes, lol! Over and over again. My fashion fun is for when I'm in the mood to play like a costume ball. Luv it for that reason. Commercial fashion for the most part is boring to me. Everyone has their preferences.

    I like fashion because, I'd like to make it into a career one day. I don't like buying them in stores, depending on circumstances. I want to look good because, I'm a much happier person. I'm not trying to patronise you but, you need to think how the clothes you wear make you come off to others. How we dress, the quality of our clothing, (etc.) can make a huge difference on the opportunities we get/the kind of treatment we receive from others. It's all very fascinating.
