I got dox'd and i'm freaking out right now what do i do?

This guy online is really mad at me for breaking up with him. I know I'm an idiot for this but I had added him on a site similar to face book which had my last name on it and the town I live in, because I thought we were friends. Now he got mad and looked up my full name and found my dads address through online phone books and posted it on this website where I have a lot of haters. I'm so sick I want to die. What's the worst that can happen? I'm guessing my haters will pass around the info and eventually maybe some creep will do something to my fathers house. I feel like a complete piece of shit right now... What can I do?

    I once got dox'd by a troll on DeviantArt. Nothing happened because nobody was dumb or psycho enough to actually drive all those miles to my home. Though someone DID order three pizzas in my name and had them delivered to my home. I didn't mind because I was fucking hungry. Plus it was back when Dominoes had the 5-5-5 Deal. Just in case though, notify your father, the makers of the website you have haters on, and possibly the authorities.

          Thanks I hope you're right. The other thing I'm worried is they could put it on fake craigslist ads for sexual things or something else weird and make shady people come over.

          if I could ask what do you think would make someone do this? I mean what do they really get out of posting someone's address if they're not gonna do anything with it

    What a jerk. He will be going to a special place in hell. Why do you have a lot of haters on that site if you don't mind me asking? Also you should let the cops know about this and maybe install a hidden security camera at the entrance of your dad's house. Make sure he knows about everything first.

      doxin means to poste someones real identity and location or other such info on an otherwise anonymous interwebz site

      op had thisall done on a site where they had enemies and has paranoia and regrets now
