I get terrible shin splints?

I stretch before running
I usually wrap the tops of my shins with medical tape about an inch wide
It really affects my proformence what can I do also I have a sprained ankle and flatwhat canni do I can't miss softball practice

    Do some more plyometric exercises - also skipping works really well. I had intense shin splits for a while, and so I started skipping, this hurt initially, but once my legs were used to it the shin splints stoped.

    Also, yoga, I know, I know, but it really does help stretch things out.

    Registered Sports Massage.

    Anti-inflamitory meds if necessary.

    Try purchasing shock absorbing insoles as well - I purchased them (40$) from a sports store (I had to be fitted properly too) and they helped soooo much, which balance also. I never thought I had foot issues, but they said that most people actually do but dont know it.

    its all in the shoes. I was only able to rid myself of shin splints when I found the right pair.
