I get dizzy

Every time I need to use a computer for an extended amount of time, I get extremely dizzy. I try to take frequent breaks, but after a few hours I feel so dizzy that I have to wait to drive anywhere.

I thought it might be a vision problem, but my eyes checked out fine. Does anyone else get this?

Does it matter what you use it for? For instance I've heard of first-person games making some people dizzy.

    • I never use it for games or anything like that- just work, writing, that type if thing.

Huh. Another thing I've heard of is the screen flicker bothering certain people, but I think that was back in the days of CRT monitors. Unless you've got a really old setup that's probably not it either.

    Sounds like labyrinthitis to me...

When I was younger, there was a "campaign" of sorts, to teach children not to spend so much time on the computer because it caused eye problems. Do you have an wireless adapter? Many people have been complaining about the health effect that the waves have been having on them. I know when I interact near the adaptor for prolonged periods, I feel horrible.

Check out the Cambridge Institute for Better Vision. They treat problems like what you are describing using holistic methods.

    Mention it to a doctor.
