I gave my dog a choice to leave or stay and he left

I read Committed A Rabble-Rouser's Memoir and I don't believe that any humans can own other conscious beings anymore. I left the front door open all day to give him a choice and he decided to walk off into the sunset by his own choice.

  • If you love something, set it free; if it comes back it is yours.
If it doesn't come back, you are a dumbshit fuck for letting a domesticated animal into the outside world with no way to defend itself. You, sir/ma'am are a prick.

great, you've just condemned your dog to being mauled the fuck to death by the local wild predators, starved to death, hit by a car, or catch a disease and slowly die.

I hope he's okay. I also hope he comes back. It might not be right to own another creature but it's a dangerous world out there. He could get hit by a car or taken by an evil family. If you don't want him anymore, find a new home where they can give him a good life.

Domestic dogs, and cats are animals that rely on humans for their care, OP is a special kind of stupid.

Most cats could survive on their own in the wild - cats have natural instincts that enable them to hunt smaller animals and escape danger. Dogs however would likely die in a month or two of being let loose.

My cat wouldn't survive! He's completely pampered, and protected. My cat is also almost twelve years old, and his eye sight is failing.

I'm personally a really big fan of training both dogs, and cats, as well as keeping them indoors. My cat has never killed a mouse, or a bird, and I'm happy for that, because he had never contracted parasites either. He thinks rabbits, dogs are his friends.

You are an idiot! If that poor dog gets hit by a car it will be a result of your own neglect, and stupidity.

They evolved to be our pets. Do some research. It's a mutual relationship. Go find man's best friend.

Go find your dog before he gets hurt! He is NOT a wild animal and can not survive on his own!! Your new "outlook" applies to human beings and wild animals, but it does NOT apply to pets!

Thats messed up mate. The poor dog can't fend for itself and is liable to get picked up by dogcatchers and thrown in the pound. Why would you do something like that?
