I went to the store and was walking back to my car when I saw a zip tie on my view mirror. I thought it was either some kids pranking me or something.
You mean on either of your side mirrors right?!
Cause if kinds can get into your car and put zip ties on your rearview mirror, you should start locking your car.

Somebody is messing with you. Worst case, it could be evidence to implicate you for some crime. This is often done by the cops, or occasionally by random perpetrators. Get pictures with a date. Ask a lawyer to lock up and save the evidence for you.
This is so completely random. Who the hell goes around putting zip ties on people's cars? LOL
I read on a post that not to try to remove it upon discovering or to stand around, you are possibly being stalked which is a crime. You need to take photos of place and time very quick and send to someone and relocate to a second location. You need to be aware of the situation and people around and keep windows up and doors locked. It’s was circulated online and “debunked” but about 50,000 people in USA disappear. Don’t let that be you learn self defense, don’t be distracted and always be aware of different options for self defense and exit. I’ve read online before that zip ties on cars has something to do with sex traffickers.
When I read view I instantly assumed rear view but if it’s a side one could be someone hit it and is trying to hide it’s broken by zip ties. Sometimes if you wanna be ghetto when one breaks just zip tie it back in place.
So, make sure it’s not been broken.
