I find 'action' movies so boring!

9 times out of 10 when I watch a blockbuster action movie, I find myself bored out of my brain.

It feels like I've seen those fight scenes a hundred times, and the jittery editing/framing just makes my head hurt. I'm all for creative directorial techniques in films which are actually creative, but in these run-of-the-mill action movies I would rather just be able to see what's occurring in these allegedly exciting scenes than wondering if the choppy filming is just a technique to make the action seem more convincing.

And the dialogue is always so predictable! There's the 'big line' after the bad guy gets killed, there's the obligatory technobabble about some space ship, or a robotic device/suit, there's the vapid romance thrown in just because they think it will please women... I HATE ACTION MOVIES!

    Me too. Although we only get Hollywood films here and that whole crew has the inventiveness of a dog turd in a sand pit watching other dog turds in the sand pits of other countries and seeking to exploit them by copying them but doing it so badly that its bored detractors cannot even bring themself to watch another shameful remake of the crappiest possible thing ever made.

    Tip: Watch the cinema of other countries. It will blow your mind.

    Action movies are always poorly written and rely on special effects, explosions, and car chases to attract and keep viewers attention. All glitter but no substance. Some people are into that.

    Did I miss something? Is it absolutely mandatory that you go watch movies you so obviously HATE? Does someone put a gun to your head and march you into the theater? Is there a new law, I haven't heard about?
    I just don't get it, why go if you hate them so much? Grow a back bone and don't go.
    SIMPLE, no?
