I feel much more confident about myself physically than I ever have before, except in the area of height. I'm 5'7, below average. Unfortunately short for a male. I feel like every other male I see is a giant and so much better than me. I'm 18 and it terrifies me to think that I've stopped growing.

and the other tall people are lanky twats
Don't worry about it, tons of girls like shorter guys! I think tall guys are hot, but you know what, my boyfriend is only about 5'8" and I think he's hot too! At 5'7" you are taller than most girls and that's all that matters, in my humble opinion. Make up for what you lack in height in confidence!
I am currently the shortest person on IIN! I'm 4'9. And everyday I complain about my height! But remember, short people are adorable :3
It's a well known fact among us older ladies, shorter guys are better in bed :P

Emofreak is right!! Humans always what what they don't have. I mean I like tall guys a lot I think it's hot! But it doesn't matter as long as you are taller than the girl that you are with.
Haha, I went through that when I was a kid, then I just learned that you have to put up with it. I come from a short family (both parents shorter than you) Ima girl and I'm like 4'11"... Honestly I'd be the type who'd prefer a shorter guy lol...they're'll be tons o' girls out there who'll like shorter guys so relax! Enjoy life :)

If you have friends who make fun of your height, then stop hanging around with them because they don't respect you.
I don't have prolbem with mine, 5'6". I don't see it as a big deal, my deafness overcome that as a fun person to be around. If I were a hearing, thing will be different, even better...
I'm 5'6" and I'm a guy, but I put up with it. 5'8" and 5'9" is not short, it's just not tall.

Yeah 5'7" really isn't that short at all :) I know a guy who's like 5'4", if that. So I wouldn't worry if I were you... and you know, some girls feel intimidated by really tall guys, so they would love to be with you. Also, since you're only 18 there is a chance you might still grow. I did while I was still in college.
