I feel sad about a game. is it normal?

I'm currently playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. If you don't like spoilers then leave this post.

When Link became an adult and emerged from the Temple of Time, everything seemed to have changed. Hyrule Town was ominous and the once gleeful Market Square was full of undead monsters (the . Your hometown is filled with monsters. The kids you befriended in the Lost Woods turn against you. The water town is frozen and there is nobody to talk to. It seems like everything had taken a turn for the worse. There are monsters in what were once peaceful maps.

Basically, the whole place seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. I know it's just a game, but for some reason instead of giving me the "ohhh this is getting interesting" like Nintendo would have intended it to be, it was strangely upsetting to me.

Is this normal? Am I the only one who feels like this?

    You can fix things though! You can make them better! Never play Fallout 3. That game would depress you too because what used to be DC is just now an apocalyptic wasteland.
