I feel like there are worms inside my head

I feel like there are worms inside my head, it causes me physical pain and sometimes I feel like they're telling me what to do. If I do something incorrectly, they begin to yell at me and tell me to remodel my hideous face with a shotgun. They make me feel nervous and paranoid in social situations and when I'm alone.

I agree with smuffle. I think you have schizophrenia. I would seek help.

It sounds like you might have schizophrenia... you should seek psychiatric help.

I actually hear 10 different voices in my head telling me remodel my hideous face with a shotgun all the time. You wouldn't believe how often.

me too! I told 2 of my friends that I have like 8 different kinds of voices, one is particularly scary he has a low deep voice that repeats things I say out load in a sarcastic way it makes my stomach churn, its so nasty. They said to talk to someone like a physiotherapist but to not let them prescribe pills. but they both didnt have it.. so I felt weird, but now u 2 do I feel better! :-)

It doesn't sound normal to me. There are no real worms in your head talking to you.

    Toodeloo.

No, its not just you, im like this too, dont worry it's normal.. i look in the mirror and i think im ugly as hell, but other people think differently. all i do is learn to "not give a f*ck" .. dont let the little things bring you down in life. otherwise you wont enjoy life.

Sense my mom has schizoaffective distorter which is vary similar to schizophrenia, i would probably tell you you have mental illness but it may be caused by something traumatic that has happened to you.

The worms aren't the normal part. The "voices" can be kind of normal but the voice is probably not the "worms" it's your own.

Check this out. If the voices are telling you things you did NOT already know, such as new information, data, explainations of things you couldn't figure on your own, then YES it's an non-self creature.

If the voices, which they are, are telling you things you already knew... Then it's your OWN internal ideas.

Now, you are probably angry about lots of things and it's easier to go through life just getting by than try and face the ultimate insult, failure for trying. Failure for not trying is so much more fun.

So do this. tell the voices, your inner self, to ONLY commuinicate with you prior to any act. Not after. Because if they ONLY critique you once you've acted it means they too were just as much of a failure and loser.

Thus, you'll realize, the real voice is yours knowing things could be better.

The best part... when you realize you have it in you to see the "better" you could have done, you have it in you to do it.

Remember, if the voices don't teach you things unknown to you, you're better off without them. If they are real, they're pretty uneducated. ;) But I know they're not real.

Please go see a cognitive therapist. You CAN deal with this, so find a therapist who really cares - that's the hardest part, but it is possible. Best of luck.
