I feel like there are no political groups that i can affiliate with?

I've read books on all sorts of political and philosophical systems (Libertarianism, Marxism, Socialism, Liberalism, Anarchism, Conservativism, etc.) and I feel like there's just nothing out there that really encapsulates what I believe. I don't care for any of the major parties in my country either. It annoys me, because I'd really like to find a group that I can consort with and maybe make a positive impact on society, but I just can't find any groups that I agree with. I don't think I can just stop paying attention, because ignoring the world's problems won't make them go away and even if I pretend like the rest of society doesn't exist, society will still affect me in many ways, only I won't know what's going on.

    I am the same way.
    Its called independent party, which defines anyone with original ideas that are not dependent on other peoples preconceived ideas.

    Same here, go on issues instead of party, bc the party platforms change too much to just blindly stick by one...

    Yes, I feel similarly. I think, the most healthy idea would be to start your own political party/movement.

    However, right now I don't have the time or energy for that.

    Select that party that is closest to your belief system and/or supports key issues that are important to you. Then join and become an active member in your local party. This will give you an opportunity to impact issues that are important to you, as well as a chance to vocalize ideas that they may not agree with and change their ideas on them. I did this when I was more politically active. I had the opportunity to impact and write parts of legislation, as well as amendments to the party platform and rules. I was even elected as a delegate to the party's national convention. It is unusual to agree with 100% of any party platform, but that shouldn't stop you from participating.
