I feel like im the only one who feels this way...is it normal?

I just turned 18 last month and about my Junior year of high school i was diagnosed with anxiety and agoraphobia. Anxiety runs in my family and unfortunately i got it. It was really bad in the first year of having it, everyday in school before i started home school i would feel anxious and nervous. I could never hold still, and i absolutely hated being in the hallways and classrooms. I took medication at one point and also counseling but that really didn't help. Now im on no medication and i still feel extremely nervous in crowded places such as the gym and school talent shows. I think i have OCD as well because i always have unwanted thoughts. Honestly i feel like im a freak alone in this. Im so young and i feel like my life is over. Anxiety has stopped me from doing a lot of things i wouldve love to have done. I wish i could go back for at least one day before all this hit me..
Is this normal? .___.

Sucking a cock and swallowing the cum is the solution.

Think about whether there is an event that triggered this, realize it wasn't your fault, and then practice acceptance. I found that being in a situation in which I had to interact with people which was my job helped me because I didn't have to be me, I could play a role, and I knew how to play the role much better than I knew how to play myself. The more you stay in and alone, the worse it will get. You need to try to get out and do things as much as you possibly can. Try going out at low traffic times of the day to places that are not very heavily frequented. You could try turning it into a fun game.

You're normal as time goes on it will probably get less and less bothersome...

Yea youre not the only one. A lot of people have anxiety and agoraphobia. Some famous people even have it such as Woody Allen and others. I have social anxiety. I can't force myself to eat in front of a bunch of people,I cant imagine myself eating at a restaurant packed with people.I can't even imagine myself working as a cashier at a store! Thats how bad my anxiety is and Im only 20yrs old.I go to college and somehow I can handle it there. I also think I have agoraphobia. I get anxiety symptoms like sweating(mostly) and anxious thoughts when Im in a crowded place such as being at a big stadium packed with people. Youre not alone in this. Good luck!

Well it's not normal to have such strong anxiety, but that doesn't mean youre alone in this or that you won't be able to find a way to manage it better. Firstly I'd try seeing a different doctor who might have an approach to the problem that works for you. Having unwanted thoughts doesn't really sound like OCD at all, but that's something a professional would be better to discuss.

  • Oh..and no, you're certainly not alone. Don't ever forget that. The worst thing about anxiety is the feeling of hopelessness..and the fear of the fear itself. You can overcome. Believe me.

  • This post doubled up so I'll add to this one that it is very normal and I've been throught the same thing since my mid teens. I did manage to fight through it and eventually defeat anxiety, though it took effort & time. It is possible.

You sound very determined to work through your symptoms. I believe that if you find the right doctor (keep looking if you see someone that isn't a good fit), and take the time to sort out what meds are right for you, that you can absolutely feel better. It will be a tough road with a lot of personal development, but I think that it will lead to a good place. Good luck!
