I feel i have bad anxiety, the butterflies in my stomach annoy me.

I get into awful slumps. I'd say it's anxiety. I have this feeling that something's always wrong. I move my legs a lot, like shaking. i feel irritable. i have butterflies in my stomach for extended periods of time. like im always expecting a big drop or im falling. i don really have trouble sleeping, although i only sleep about 4-5 hours a night.

it's happened before prolly for about 5 months in a row? i got over it before....but it's been happening again for the past 2 weeks. sometimes i feel like i should go to a psychologist....

I have suffered from depression and anxiety my whole life. Talking to a doctor really helps. However, the meds can either make it worse or better. I hated the meds, they made me feel nothing. I wasn't sad, happy or mad, I was just nothing. People always laugh when I say this, but what really helped me was a) eating a cleaner diet, b) exercising and c) meditation. I did a lot of self-therapy as well. All of these things combined made me feel MUCH better than medication ever did. But, to each his own. Some people find that medication genuinely helps!

I'm like this all the time! I didn't know it was anxiety though. I don't want to be on meds for it but I want this feeling to go away. I'm constantly feeling like something is wrong.

If you have the means, seek help.
I can't cuz I haven't the monetary means so I'm stuck. It gets horribly debilitating if you don't do anything about it.

focus on breathing. breathe slowly and try to calm yourself down. drink lots of water. think of what makes you feel this way and think why you react this way. your normal dont worry

First, get a physical from your doctor and explain your anxiety and all of the physical symptoms you are having. You need to rule out things like chemical imbalances that could contribute to anxiety. Next, learn to be focused on the present moment rather than stories about what you are feeling and experiencing. That means you need to accept rather than resist what is happening, but that doesn't preclude not doing something about it if you can. You might explore various forms of meditation, but stay away from anything that requires a big investment of money or adopting some kind of belief system to practice. This comment is from 'the one only' or someone like that. He or she posted it on my bffs story instead of this one so here ya go

I have anxiety issues as well. I wouldn't recomend meds right away. See a phscologist. I am. You just talk and she or he listens you don't have to tell him or her anything too personal. Just major events in your life. They may be able to give you tools to help your anxiety without meds. However tehy may perscribe medication. And just as an fyi my anxiety attacks are different. I feel like im walking through a dream and i will NEVER wake up then it gets worse. Try not to think about your anxiety. The less i think about it the better off i am. And dont overanaylize.

How do you keep yourself from over analyzing?

You really should go see a psychologist. You've pretty much perfectly described anxiety. I was diagnosed with moderate anxiety. Takes a few weeks to adjust to medications and for them to start working ( some will make you drousy at first ) but it's worth it.

my cousin was proned to anxiety attacks. if you said "boo", he would start hyperventalating (if that's how you spell it) and rush for his meds. well, one day we decided to hide his meds, and put him in a fight. i'll tell you, he beat the crud out of that guy. of course, he passed out later on, but the way the adrenaline got to him was amazing. we could feel it from where we were standing. somehow, he suffers from it alot less now tho.
